Wedding Anniversary Gift Box ~ touch of Sola wood flowers !
Hello friends,
Hope you all have been doing great. Today I bring to you a very special creation made on order for a special couple on their Wedding Anniversary.Herein, I used the beautiful handmade Sola wood flowers. It seems to be just the other day, I was passing by a local craft shop and couldn't take my eyes off how beautifully the local flower crafters were making wonder masterpieces out of it..really it took me to a fantasy world again with another story...yet to begin and since it was so unique to me...couldnt stop implementing it out myself!!
As the spring is officially in air, with the blooming multi-coloured flowers and several metallic-coloured butterflies, all of which are breathtakingly beautiful...and the young lovers,it reminds me of the Shakespeare's song, It was a Lover and his Lass....
As I was totally entralled making these flower arrangement, thought of sharing it out with you ... pardon me...you guys need to bear with me..as its a picture heavy post :S
Sola wood flower making:
1. Cut the sola wood in the shape of petals. Roll it and tie it at the bottom with the flower making thread. Arrange 5-7 petals around it and again tie with the thread. Now the flower is ready.
2. Since the solawood is fragile, care should be taken while tying with the thread.
3. First arrange the flowers and leaves on the flat surface (frame base). Once you are satisfied with the arrangement, paste them onto the positions using glue (fevicol).
Materials used:
Sola wood ~for flowers
Craft paper for layout and the boxes
itsy-bitsy silver pixie dust and butterfly punched out
Ribbon Lace,gems & blings
Handdrawn digis
Computer generated sentiments
Chains and heart Charm from Local jewellery shop

This project did take some time to complete..and to speak of the sola wood flowers..!!yess,the sola wood being extremely fragile and soft,it took me little pain to bind the petals at one place...i wasted quite some time and material :( ,until I was satisfied with the final output after continuous repeated effort!! :D
